Devon and Plymouth Chamber Sign MOU with HotSW LEP

Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and the Heart of the South West LEP have signed their first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). It marks the start of what is due to be an effective partnership between the two business-led, business-focussed organisations.

Chamber CEO and BCCSW Chair, Stuart Elford said:

“We are delighted to be working so closely with the Heart of the South West LEP.  It is more important than ever that our area has a joined-up voice and that the public and private sectors work together to ensure our priorities are clear. We support our businesses to be as productive as possible by providing the best possible environment for them to flourish.”

Signing the MOU, LEP CEO David Ralph said:

“This Memorandum of Understanding will improve how the LEP engages with key business groups in the area and will help to raise our profile through a variety of joint business events in the next 12 months, including the re-invigorated Devon Conversations.

I look forward to working with our partners in the Chamber to deliver quality events and strengthen our relationships with the business community.”

The Chamber continues to support the LEP by providing feedback and survey results for their new Quarterly Business Bulletin – which summarises the key business surveys from across the area and can be found on the this website www.heartofswlep.co.uk

The LEP is also supporting the Chamber with their Access to Finance Fair, which takes place on Wednesday 25 March at Dartington Hall. The event is supported by Devon County Council and Plymouth City Council and sponsored by Western Union.
